If your child hasn't been to the dentist in a while, we invite you to schedule their dental check-up with Meshia Azad DDS. At our Lake Forest dental office, we are focused on improving the health and appearance of our patients’ smiles. We understand that not everyone is excited about dental care and that due to busy schedules, a lack of insurance, or general forgetfulness, a lot of people don’t schedule appointments with their dentist regularity. If that’s you – don’t worry. You are not alone. According to USA today, 34 percent of Americans don’t visit the dentist on an annual basis. While this is a large group of people, not having a dental check-up can place you at risk for a variety of health issues. We encourage you to take an hour out of your day for the benefit of your child's oral health and their future quality of life. To get started, all you need to do is call (949) 625-1570 and schedule an appointment. Our friendly staff won’t judge you for your lack of prior dental care but will be happy to get you up to speed again.
Why Your Child Needs One
There is a direct link between visiting the dentist and keeping your natural teeth. If you want to ensure that your child has a full mouth of healthy teeth – schedule a visit with them to the dentist. Gallup released a study in 2014 that found the states with the highest percentage of dental visits also had the lowest percentage of adult tooth loss.
Another reason to schedule a dental check-up is to make sure that your child doesn't experience a toothache or infection. We treat children throughout the 92630 area and find that toothaches can create enough discomfort to cause people to miss school. If you are like many of our Lake Forest patients that don’t feel they have time to bring their child to the dentist, you definitely need to schedule a dental check-up. Failing to do so could result in a more serious health condition forming and the need to take time off of school and work for your child's recovery. After all, without preventative dental care, they are at a greater risk for tooth decay, infection, and gum disease.
What Happens at Your Child’s Dental Checkup
At Meshia Azad DDS, we are a gentle dentist and will complete your child's dental check-up in a way that is comfortable and relaxing. We understand that some people don’t visit the dentist because they have a dental phobia or are concerned that something may be wrong. If this is the case, and your child does have a cavity, we will treat their tooth gently and carefully so that their health issues can be addressed and cause as little as possible further irritation.
We invite you to call 949-625-1570 and schedule your child's dental check-up right away. When you come in, we will escort you and your child to the examination room where they will be given a drape and goggles to wear. Next, we will take images of their teeth and gums to see if there are any infections or decay that are under the surface. We will also perform a visual inspection of their gums and each one of their teeth. During this time, we will also be looking for signs of infection, tooth decay, gum disease, and oral cancer. If we identify any of these issues, we will discuss treatment options with you and may even be able to treat minor cavities that day. Before starting any procedures we will discuss them in detail to ensure that your child is comfortable and relaxed. We will also clean their teeth before they go to ensure that they don’t have any lingering plaque or bacteria on their teeth or gums. When you visit our Lake Forest, CA dental office, you can expect the highest quality of care and that your child's dental check-up will be completed efficiently and gently.

The Benefits of Coming in Now
At Meshia Azad DDS, we want your child to visit our 92630 dentist office at the first sign of discomfort. If they have even a slight toothache or irritation in their gums, you should schedule a dental exam. If there is a problem, we can correct it immediately, rather than allowing it to grow and spread. In many cases, we can help to avoid experiencing any significant discomfort by simply removing the decayed area while it is still small. Otherwise, you may find yourself with a dental emergency as an untreated cavity spreads. Fortunately, we make it easy to schedule a dental check-up with our Lake Forest dentist office. All you need to do is call (949) 625-1570 to schedule an appointment. We will work within your schedule to ensure that your child receives the care they need, exactly when they need it.
Why You Should Not Wait for Dental Care
While we understand that many people wait to seek dental care due to anxiety, time, or finances, we do not recommend it. Instead, we suggest that you schedule a dental exam now, even if your child isn't experiencing any discomfort. Doing so will allow us to remove any plaque or bacteria that has built up on their teeth, ensure that they don’t have any cavities that are forming and prevent them from experiencing gum disease. Our goal is to treat your child before they have any health issues, and a dental check-up is designed to allow us to do so. If you live in the 92630 area, it doesn’t matter why they haven’t been to the dentist in a while. We welcome you to come back in so that we can protect and improve your child's oral health.
